We recently entered a team for the Dirty Dozen 12km Obstacle Race which was held in Barleylands, Billericay.
The team consisted of Tony Occleshaw, Tony Harris, Tommy Occleshaw, James Harris, Rebecca Harris and Carrie Orford,
Tony Occleshaw did extremely well finishing in an overall position 85/377 with a time of 1hr 39. The remainder of the team slogged it out toghether and came through in just over 2.5hrs.
We raced to raise money for two different Charities; St Lukes Hospice who ease the pain for many people on a daily basis and something closer to home a little girl called Cora who was born with a genetic condition called Smith Lemli Optiz Syndrome (SLOS). There is no pill or medical procedure to help Cora with her lifelong requirements. Cora is currently button fed which means she takes nothing orally, only through a button in her tummy.
We have currently raised over £3,200.00 which we are very grateful of, however, as always with Charity dontations we would always like that little bit more.
