The winning component was the theatre’s translucent polycarbonate rainscreen panels, chosen for their range of colours, transparency, lightweight look and feel, and their ability to be backlit. As well as the cutting edge treatment to the external walls, attention was given to an adjacent boiler chimney, making it a bold landmark and with backlit signage to advertise the college, a beacon for the theatre and the new face of the campus.
