OCL Reclad has been shortlisted for Best Refurbishment Project at the Facade Awards UK 2026 for its successful delivery of the Inglewood Mews cladding remediation project alongside Wetherby Building Systems.
The shortlisting recognises OCL Reclad’s expertise in delivering complex cladding remediation and building safety projects. This without a doubt, reinforcing the company’s reputation as one of the UK’s leading specialist facade contractors.
The Facade Awards UK celebrate excellence in facade engineering, design and installation, recognising projects that demonstrate innovation and technical excellence across the construction industry.
Recognising excellence in facade refurbishment
Delivered in partnership with Wetherby Building Systems, the project involved the installation of a high-performance Stone Wool Silicone External Wall Insulation (EWI) System, providing an A2-rated facade solution that improves fire safety, thermal performance and long-term durability while meeting the latest building safety standards.
The project forms part of OCL Reclad’s growing portfolio of cladding remediation and external wall refurbishment schemes, supporting clients in upgrading residential buildings to improve safety, compliance and energy performance.
Delivering building safety in fully occupied development
One of the most significant challenges of the project was carrying out the remediation works while the development remained fully occupied.
Working within a live residential environment required careful planning, proactive resident communication and meticulous site management, from start to finish. Through close collaboration with Wetherby Building Systems, the wider project team and residents, OCL Reclad successfully delivered the works safely, with minimal disruption and indeed on budget.
The result is a modern, fire-compliant cladding remediation that also enhances both the appearance and long-term performance of the building.
A collaborative approach to facade remediation
The shortlisting reflects the strength of the partnership between OCL Reclad and Wetherby Building Systems.
By combining technical expertise, innovative facade solutions and a collaborative approach, we successfully overcame the challenges of delivering a complex refurbishment project within an occupied residential development.
James Harris, Managing Director of OCL, said:
