With unrivalled knowledge, expertise and experience in the drylining sector, OCL are able to provide our clients with the necessary contract management, skills, supervision and qualified operatives experienced in installing a wide range of drylining systems in a safe and effective manner.
Our passion, service and ability to repeatedly deliver has helped to cement our reputation as a company that provides high quality drylining solutions for our clients. With services including screed, drywall, suspended ceilings and plaster finishes, our extensive portfolio includes some of the industry’s most iconic developments.
We specialise in both pump and hand applied floor screeds which include traditional sand and cement as well as granolithic and self-levelling anhydrite screeds which be laid up to 1,000sqm per day. OCL have partnered with approved installers for other proprietary screed systems from manufacturers such as Mapei, Tarmac, CEMEX, Ardex and Knopp.
Through this partnership we have designated flowing screed teams for the application of self-levelling screeds and liquid applied systems from manufacturers such as Mixit Cemfloor, Lafarge Gyvlon, Tarmac, CEMEX, Hope and Flowcrete.
As well as wet screeds OCL are approved installers of dry screed board systems. Floor screeding remains a mainstay of our business with skills developed to carry out work on a range of projects inside or out.
Dry lining systems are suitable for many different types of building; new-build to restoration and refurbishment; traditional to contemporary styling. Adjustments to height, thermal, fire, sound and vapour permeability performance are straightforward and easily achieved. There are assorted systems available, depending on the project requirements, and these enable a wide range of design objectives to be achieved whilst remaining cost-effective.
Partitioning is a simple and effective way in which to divide space in working, domestic or leisure environments. Non load-bearing, our metal stud partition systems comprise plaster boards screw-fixed to steel frames made up of lightweight studs and channels. These systems can utilise the entire range of plasterboards, including fire resistance and sound reduction. The nature of the design of this system allows for fast and efficient erection, with the minimum of disturbance to surrounding areas.
OCL are experts in the installation of a range of systems designed and manufactured by Knauf, Siniat and British Gypsum, the three leading manufactures in the dry wall industry.
OCL routinely carry out the supply and installation of a variety of ceilings, all tailored to meet the specification and aesthetics demanded by clients and architects alike. These can range from suspended ceiling systems to more conventional approaches, and can incorporate any number of features such as curved bulkheads, inspection hatches and lighting coffers.
Types of ceiling vary from MF metal grid systems with a plaster board finish, to metal lay-in tile grid systems.
Our manufacturers include British Gypsum, Knauf/Knauf AMF, Siniat, Rockfon, Ecophon, Armstrong, SAS, Burgess.
Plastering remains at the heart of our business, with all operatives trained to the highest degree of competence, resulting in the production of skilled work.
A skim coat of plaster which can be applied to regular drywall or a two coat float and set are amongst the more commonly used approaches in modern construction. We are experienced in plastering not only vast flat expanses but also more intricate projects where precision is essential.
We also take great pride in our expertise and experience in the use of ‘Polished’ plaster, which can offer an unrivalled finish.
Tape & Jointing involves covering and reinforcing the joints between sheets of plasterboard on a wall or ceiling. This method is used to prepare a wall for decoration and is a fast-tracked, cost effective alternative to a skim coat of plaster.
This method of finishing is now specified on the majority of high rise, fast paced projects across the country for both its programme and costs benefits.
