FACADE HIGHLIGHTS
Abbey Place is a residential development of 245 homes in Abbey Wood, South East London. The 13- and 21-storey residential towers form a landmark development on a key site adjacent to the new Abbey Wood Crossrail station.
This mixed tenure and mixed use scheme provides 173 Shared Ownership homes and 72 Multi-Family Build to Rent homes as well as commercial units, a new public square, and improvements to the public realm. Abbey Place markedly improves the arrival experience to the new station and sets a new benchmark for development quality in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
VALUE ADDED CONTRIBUTIONS
The Interpon D2525 Stone Effect range was selected to provide GRC and Natural Concrete look-a-like finishes. Along with the metallic YW206F, all finishes are Qualicoat Class 2 approved and offer an A2-s1,d0 fire rating to the facade. This saved the client having to use actual GRC cladding which is both a cost and weight saving option.
TESTIMONIAL
Jamie Brown, Business Development Manager at Sotec Limited
“Like the rest of the industry at the time, we were facing considerable cost increases across the board. It was therefore vital that we engaged a supply chain that could offer us cost certainty and could confidently meet the clients programme and keep up with demand throughout. The outcome is another amazing project delivered with OCL Facades. The quality of work from early stage design to installation was exceptional by the OCL team. A massive thank you to our supply chain for their continued support. The two buildings look fantastic!”
