Deptford Foundry

Consisting of eight striking buildings and one 22 storey tower, the Deptford Foundry development features 316 residential apartments as well as 32,000sqft of studio space.

In the heart of one of south-east London’s most vibrant and creative neighbourhoods, Anthology Deptford Foundry sits on the site of a former metal foundry formed in 1831 by engineer Josiah Stone.

The original foundry on Arklow Road was once a thriving centre of design excellence, producing a variety of metal goods from propellers, to manhole covers and train parts.

Since it’s completion the development has been shortlisted for a number of accolades including a New London Award in the ‘mixed-use’ category and more recently, in the 2020 Housing Design Awards ‘completed’ category.

OCL were contracted to complete the external envelope comprising SFS, rainscreen cladding, composite windows, curtain walling, flashings, copings and acoustic louvres as well as the internal screed, drylining, ceilings and tape & jointing works on this development for Anthology, with a subcontract package value in excess of £18,000,000.00.
